Rome, October 13, 2022 – Elettronica signed yesterday morning, at the Italian Embassy in Athens, in the presence of Ambassador Falcinelli and the industrial leaders of various Italian and Greek companies operating in the Defense sector, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hellenic Aerospace Industry, a leading defense company in Greece.
The memorandum of understanding is part of the current call for tenders for the supply of 4 “corvette” class naval units to the Greek Navy, the leading company being Fincantieri. A strategic program heralds a resumption of important international defense programs in Greece which will hopefully fuel strategic cooperation between the two countries.
Specifically, Electronica’s proposal includes the latest generation EW (Zeus) integrated self-protection system. The signing of said Memorandum of Understanding, in addition to developing industrial cooperation between Italy and Greece, could give a boost to the final decision of the Greek Ministry of Defense to acquire an all-Italian technologically advanced solution.
