Brown had recently agreed with the Perth Wildcats, but the NBL declined his bid to play in the league this season.
The 30-year-old American was unable to get the authorization letter issued in time before the March 26 deadline.
Although the Perth Wildcats asked to reconsider Brown’s case due to extraordinary circumstances that delayed the issuance of his clearance letter, the NBL made no exception.
