Novak Djokovic described as a “sucker” by a virologist
Novak Djokovic has been scammed by a virologist on social media for his take and stance on vaccinations.
It is widely known in sports that 20-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic is not in favor of the rules and regulations regarding COVID-19 vaccinations. He has often been criticized for this and another recent dig came from an Italian virologist named Roberto Burioni.
Referring to Djokovic on a social media post, Burioni boldly described the world No.1 as a “sucker.”
“Notice the difference between a true champion and a sucker who plays tennis well”, Burioni wrote on Twitter translated by Tennis World USA.

The first biggest tournament of 2022 is the Australian Open. As it stands, it seems that Djokovic is unlikely to play at this prestigious event for obvious reasons – the COVID-19 vaccination rules.
According to the majority, the organizers of the Australian Open demand that all players who will participate in the event be vaccinated. Djokovic, on the other hand, who refused to reveal the real status of his vaccination has again become the center of attention.
According to his father Srdjan, Novak will “probably” not rather than succumb to the “blackmail” of the tournament’s governing bodies on this subject.
“Regarding vaccines and non-vaccines, it is the personal right of each of us to be vaccinated or not. No one has the right to come into our privacy, ”Srdjan said via CNN. “In these blackmail and conditions, [Djokovic] probably won’t [play]. I wouldn’t do that. And he’s my son, so you decide for yourself.
To date, Djokovic has won a total of nine Grand Slam titles at Melbourne Park, including this year’s tournament.
