Mudslides hit Italy’s scenic Lake Como resort area on Tuesday after storms wreaked havoc nearby.

Firefighters have carried out more than 60 rescues but no deaths or injuries have been reported, according to the Associated Press.

The town of Brienno, on the western shore of the lake, was the hardest hit. There, 50 residents were trapped in a building when a landslide caused a gas leak. Photos show extensive damage to homes and vehicles in Laglio, where landslides have sent debris cascading into buildings and roads.

The storms have also caused flooding. In Cernobbio, an apartment building was threatened by flooding and evacuated by firefighters.
